There are many who hold back from accepting God because they don't fully understand Him and can't explain or rationalize Him. But would we want a God whose powers and abilities are on the same level of understanding as our own? None of us fully understand God; at some point we do have to take a leap of faith in establishing a relationship with Him. It[base ']s a leap upward, however, towards the God described in today's verse, Job 5:9 from the NIV:

He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.

This is just one of many verses worth memorizing that show us how God is far greater than anything we could ever hope, or desire to understand.

God bless you.

We've all wondered at one time or another what it will be like after we die. For those who have chosen to accept the gift God offers the world through the sacrifice of his Son, some glimpses of that life after death are given in the Bible. Today's verse, Revelation 21:4 from the KJV, offers one such glimpse:

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

This verse presents a beautiful, caring image of God that is well worth committing to memory.

God bless you!
