How we face life's challenges has a lot to do with how happy we are at the end of each day. Are we depressed because things aren't the way we would like them to be, or are we grateful because they're not as bad as they could have been? While it may seem like nothing more than a case of the glass half full or half empty, in reality it can often be the difference between hope and despair. Today's verses, 2 Corinthians 4:8,9 from the NJKV, encourage us to put things in the proper perspective:
We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed...
We would do well to remember these verses when the glass starts to seem half empty.
Take a new perspective on life today!
